Baraboo Downtown Wine Walk
Date: Friday, May 6th
Time: 5-8pm
Location: Downtown Baraboo
Join Downtown Baraboo merchants for a Wine Tasting Tour! Each location will have two wines (1 ounce each). A note pad with a map will be provided for note taking. A taste of wine, some delicious treats and a leisurely stroll around downtown with your friends. Tickets go on sale at 9am April 6 at Bekah Kate’s. This event sells out quickly, so be sure to sign up right away!

Nancy’s Notions Sewing Weekend Expo
Date: Thursday, May 5th – Saturday, May 7th
Time: 8am-6pm
Location: Nancy’s Notions, 333 Beichl Ave, Beaver Dam
Sewing contests, in-style seminar, nationally known speakers, hands-on classes, presentations, product demonstrations packed with ideas and hints, and lots of shopping. This year includes an auction to benefit a local charity.

Redbud Festival
Date: Saturday, May 7th
Time: 9am-3pm
Location: Downtown Columbus
Celebrate Spring with the blooming of the famous Columbus Redbud Trees. First Lion’s Brat Stand of the new year, special events throughout the city, city-wide garage sale, sidewalk sales and the Columbus Prince and Princess contest.

Mother’s Day Victorian Tea
Date: Saturday, May 7th
Time: 10am-2pm
Location: Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center, 426 N Jackson Street, Janesville
The Rock County Historical Society is hosting a tea and fashion show at the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center just in time for Mother’s Day! Members of the Historical Timekeepers, a civil war reenactment club, are hosting the event in period attire. From 11:30am-12:30pm: tea, tea cakes, and tea sandwiches will be served along with a presentation on tea customs of the nineteenth century. The event will conclude with a fashion show by the Timekeepers, dressed in 1860s fashions, from 12:30-2pm. In addition, tours of the Tallman House (located next door) are included from 10-11:30 am. Participants may purchase tickets at the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center for $18 in advance or $20 per ticket at the door. One ticket admits one adult and two children under 12. Gemuetlichkeit Days May Ball
Date: Saturday, May 7th

Location: Jefferson County Fair Park, 503 N Jackson Ave, Jefferson
Gemuetlichkeit Days holds a May Ball in early May to announce the new King and Queen for the next year. May Ball will feature Steve Meisner playing Polka music.

Tour the Farms Day
Date: Saturday, May 7th
Time: 9:30am – 4:30pm
Location: Various farms near Brodhead
Five farms in the Brodhead area will be open for tours, including a sheep farm, dairy farm, emu farm, organic farm, and a vegetable farm. Bring the kids for a fun and exciting day on the farm.

Cross Plains Lions Trout Days
Date: Thursday, May 5th – Saturday, May 7th
Location: Various locations throughout Cross Plains
Fishing contest, village-wide garage sales, plant sale, brat stands, vendor fair, hike the Cross Plains section of the Ice Age Trail. Saturday Only at the American Legion Hall: free adult vision screening, organ donor registration, child fingerprinting, Lions Kiddie Train.

Olbrich: Mother’s Day Concert
Date: Sunday, May 8th
Time: 2-3pm
Location: Olbrich Botanical Gardens & Bolz Conservatory, 3330 Atwood Ave, Madison
Bring your mother to Olbrich to stroll through the spring blooms in the Outdoor Gardens. Enjoy a concert in the Evjue Commons by the New Horizons Concert Band. Suggested donation $1.
