Day 52: Madison Ice Inc. – Indoor Ice Arena

[ 0 ] February 21, 2011 |

Leave it to unseasonably warm Wisconsin weather last week to close all of the outdoor skating venues in the city in the middle of winter; yet yesterday’s ice storm leaves us no choice but to skate around the city!  If you’re feeling the need to strap on your ice skates and enjoy the ice, head on over to Madison Ice Inc.

Located just off the beltline near the Whitney Way exit at 725 Forward Drive, Madison Ice offers indoor open skate without having to worry about the forecast.   Open skate times are kept up-to-date on their website.

Prices for Open Skate are $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for children, and $2.00 for skate rentals.

Madison Ice also offers skating classes for all levels and ages. Classes include our teddy bear, snowplow and basic skills classes as well as specific classes for hockey players and figure skaters.  Their goal is to help you learn to skate while having fun by teaching skater safety, and all the skills necessary to take you to the program and level you desire.

A complete schedule of all of the class dates and fees can also be found on their website.
