What are the major considerations I need to consider when buying rural property?

Buying country or rural property has its on set of issues such as zoning, septic, neighbors, fencing, topography, distance from school and work, driveway length and slope, school bus route, outbuildings, etc.  So you can see from just this little bit, there are quite a few things that need to be considered.  Having someone experienced in buying and selling rural property is essential for making your purchase a smooth one with few hiccups.  Intended use of the property and WHY you’re buying in the country is essential for the realtor to know and understand and how to weed through the listings to find that “just right” property is time consuming.  Let the realtor know ALL of your concerns taking into account your intentions of country living.
