Fall Color Ice Age Hike

Marquette County Ice Age Trail and Wisconsin Friends of John Muir are collaborating on this hike into the US Fish and Wildlife Fox River Refuge. Participants will meet in the parking lot of John Muir County Park and walk to the Refuge. The hike will be led by a knowledgeable refuge guide from US Fish and Wildlife . Take advantage of the rare opportunity to hike the Refuge which is not typically open to the public.

When Evansville hosted its first Oktoberfest in 2011, it was popular beyond most imaginations. So get ready for an even bigger event this year! This is a beer festival with great flavor and themes. Featured are almost 80 different beers from more than 20 breweries around the world, with an emphasis on Midwest craft breweries. Patrons will receive a checklist enabling them to track favorites, and a souvenir beer tasting glass. And there’s more! Local restaurants and caterers present signature dishes, all with an Oktoberfest flavor. Door prizes, raffles and a silent auction will be included in the evening festivities with proceeds supporting local causes. The admission ticket cost covers beer, food and beer tasting glass. Tickets are available at the door.
